    The vet thinks it’s a neurological condition. He wanted to do a lot of tests that I’m unable to do. I spoke with some other people and it sounds a lot like Marek’s. Unfortunately another bird is starting to show symptoms. I’ve isolated them.

    I got them from a farm a couple hours away from me. They hand deliver the chicks. I got my previous flock from them, and they were very healthy. Just sent the last two I had to a sanctuary. They are 5 years old and very healthy. It seems like a good source.

    Unfortunately we lost her today. I’m not sure what exactly happened. She seemed to be doing ok, the wound never got worse. I kept her in a cage in the chicken area so she would still be part of the flock. Came home to find her not moving. Very sad. I thought for sure she would pull through.
