Originally thought the chickens were molting. They are one and a half years old. Unfortunately the neck feathers have never come back again, very minimal feather loss anywhere else. No mites that we can see. No rooster. They are still laying normally.
You were right, Ozma is Oz. He crows all the time!
The tnys are still undetermined, DG is on the left/front and Nimue is in the back/ right. 14 weeks old.
Thanks for your quick reply, crazy here and despite not posting, I do lurk a lot!!! You were right, Ozma. Is Oz... and crows ALL the time!
The littles are still not confirmed! DG is in the front / left and Nimue is in the back/right. They are very camera shy! They are almost 14 weeks old...
Hello from Woolwich, ME. New to chickens this year. Have a varied flock..TSC 3 red sex linked, 2 white leghorns and from various sources locally, 1 EE rooster(oops), 3 hopefully EE hens. And from Mc Murray Mail order...2 EE pullets and 1 cuckoo maran pullet. Hoping for a colorful egg basket!
Already know we have 1 EE roo, he started crowing. We got this chicken with him and they were supposed to be the same age as our other chickens... Currently should be about 11 weeks old, but I think older. Anyway, this is Ozma, thoughts on pullet vs roo?
Also, some younger EEs. Supposed to...
One of my chicks was acting weird, falling over and walking on its feet, loose poops but no blood and lethargic. We did the milk flush for 5 days...she is like a different chick! This was so helpful!:)
So, new pic of the almost definite rooster, "sir" Sookie, and the other EE, Ozma, we got at the same time. Ozma's comb seems a bit double close to her head.... Still thinking hen??
This is "Sookie" , supposed to be a pullet Easter egger. About 5-6 weeks old. Has the reddest comb in the group (it is brighter in person) and does some chest bumping frequently. Any thoughts from the experts?? We are newbies! We wanted to avoid roosters... Thanks for the input.
