    Yes I have heard alot about RIR laying during the winter months, which is alao why I decided to start looking into them, but I will most likely just get a pair from a breeder and go from there

    I am planning to get a male RIR and 1 Female and pair them up with the hens and see if I can get a good line going of RIR/ mix unless you think otherwise, want to get as much information before I move forward

    Main goal was to produce RIR line as we have hens but are mainly mixes and decided to finally work on keeping one single breed but seeing as how the hens are far from that then Idk if its still worth getting a RIR ROO and putting it with the females and produce RIR/mix offsprings at this point

    My quails are in hutches, with a 75% dirt area and a 25% wire mesh area, all hutches are about 5ft long 3 ft wide.     Her poop was in watery in the beginning but is returned to normal, at first I assumed maybe a heat stroke and she is still laying on her as of today, she flaps her wings and makes the effort to start getting up, feet are still moving around, will try a molasses flush
