Here she is! She’s definitely not a Buff Orpington, but she’s my friendliest bird and lays big beautiful brown eggs.

Darn, I was really crossing my fingers and toes I’d have a pullet here. Not my most friendly bird, but so pretty and was excited for the eggs! 😭

Sooo cute! Ahh, I love these birds! Your pullet still has NO comb tho and mine does! It’s significantly smaller than my cockerels, but it’s there and red. I hope that doesn’t mean she’s a slow developing cockerel! 😭 I’ll get a picture today.

I hope you’re right! The fact that the comb turned orange/red so fast concerned me and that it has 3 rows. I want her to be a pullet so bad!! 🤞🏻

I was worried about the feathers on her neck, didn’t know if those were hackle feathers coming in. I’ve never heard of a New Hampshire Red, I’ll have to Google it. I just hope she’ll do ok in our Phoenix summer!

Here’s an updated picture of my suspected cockerel. His comb is massive, way bigger than my chickens who are 4 weeks older.

I love this little girl so much! She’s sooo friendly and when I sit down, she’s one of the first to jump in my lap for petting and a nap.
