In 2011, I founded the Backyard Chickens Alliance of Cobb County to change the forty year zoning ordinance that banned poultry on property that is less than two acres. With the hard work and dedicated efforts of a small group of people over two years, the Board of Commissioners agreed to allow...
We are working hard to legalize poultry in Cobb County. I encourage everyone here to Please use this new easy-to-use form to tell the Commissioners that you support Backyard Chickens- on any size property! It doesn't matter if you live in Cobb County or not~

House Bill 853 was introduced into the House last week by Rep Earl Ehrhart. It says: No county, municipality, consolidated government, or local government authority shall prohibit or require any permit for the growing or raising of food crops or chickens or rabbits in home gardens, coops, or...
This week, Rep Earl Ehrhart introduced House Bill 853, aka the Georgia Right to Grow Bill. It is now in the Agriculture & Consumer Affairs Committee. Please, contact ALL of the members listed above and tell them to pass this Bill. I heard that they are voting next Wednesday, 2/8. This is our...
Another family in Cobb County is going to loose their hens due to a Zoning Ordinance. Please support the Right to Grow Act at www.gafoodrights.org so that EVERYONE in Georgia can enjoy chickens! Please don't take your rights for granted!

Please, help me get the word out- call or e-mail your local representatives. I have a couple of pages on Facebook as well as a website- www.gafoodrights.org
Thanks!
