Okay yall so I think she's broody... can they go broody that young(she is laying) she's been in the nesting box all day sitting on two eggs and she is still in there after collecting the eggs
Yea she does she actually escaped the enclosure today i assume trying to get away from him. I can try to weigh her tomorrow and plan to feed her separate or supervise during feeding to make sure she is not bothered
Attached is pictures of there area and a picture of their coop. They are all young i have 7 that are 24 weeks and 8 that are 17 weeks. No injuries that i found.
I have a 24 week old hen(buff orpington) that keeps hiding in corners and puffs up when approached. I noticed this behavior yesterday and started watching and checking her over. No sign of mites or anything but she seems thin. When I picked her up yesterday her crop was full but today it was...
Oof I'm hoping not. I know the gray is for sure and I already have light brahma rooster that's 22 weeks old. Sucks that they were all supposed to be hens From meyer hatchery.
Help a girl out here what breed is this chicken and is it a girl or boy? I already have one light brahma rooster so hoping to not have two the brahma has way larger of a comb and it is way more red but I know all breeds are different.
