    Day 21 and nothing but exploding eggs...yuck!

    One has exploded for sure (she tossed it out) and my husband thought he heard another explode a little bit ago. And I can't even imagine candling anything right now with Dorothy being so mean and I really do not want one to explode on me...I think I will be waiting it out.

    I've got two new baby chicks that are New Hampsire Red (Rooster) and Buff Brahma's cross. Would my two chicks be sex-linked. I got one dark one and one light one. Thanks for your help as I know nothing about what breeds produced sex-linked chicks. JPichler

    My hen is limping. Help!

    I have a one year old hen that is limping. She seems to be fine otherwise. She's eating, drinking, foraging and laying. I have inspected her a couple of times and I can't seem to find anything wrong. What are the causes of limping? Any suggestions of what to look for? She is a Silver Laced...
