    We do have staggered roots, but have elongated the top bar so all ladies can get up and stay up comfortably.     My girls (2 speckled Sussex, 2 buff orphingtons 2 golden laced wyondeyte, and 2 Plymouth rocks) are 21 weeks old and I'm dyiiiing to get an egg already!     How much is too much... I toss about 1.5-2 cups of scratch per day for my 8 ladies and give them breakfast lunch and dinner scraps.
