Brinsea MAXI EX ii - Goose Eggs

I have that incubator, and honestly, I don’t think they would fit. I believe you’d need to use a Brinsea ovation incubator... ok. I just looked in their website, and the brinsea ovation 28 holds a maximum of 9 goose eggs. The Maxi ii ex is not big enough for goose eggs.

    My duck is terrified

Kidding.... the more you handle the duck gently and make it feel safe, the more likely they are to simmer down. Sometimes that doesn’t even work and I wonder if the suit really would help!

    Illinois...

I had a RIR that started molting in December and didn't fully fill in until May or June. No eggs the whole time. It was so frustrating. Now she's back to her lazy 2 a week schedule. And she's barely two. My mother in law keeps saying that she wants to be a soup.

    Moving to Illinois

I live in the city of Chicago, and I have chickens and ducks and three beehives. There is a lady a few blocks away who has chickens and multiple roosters. Although not prohibited, she lives on a double lot, in between two apartment buildings, and she has landed herself in court not because she...

    First incubation of duck eggs

OMG. They are poop machines of the first order! They have also almost tripled in size in less than a week. Wow! I love them.

    First incubation of duck eggs

Here they are, and all of them are active. Three in the picture, five sleeping under the heater. They come running to me when I talk to them. During the last week of incubation, I was talking to them a couple of times a day. And if I was on the phone I went and stood by them so they heard my...
