Similar thing here. I had one bird stop laying end of October, then begin molting. She looked okay other than pale comb. She’s not back to laying yet.
The other two have stopped laying mid December and are showing signs of molting now. Pin feathers on head and this lady had some new growth on...
I have one girl who finished a molt (stopped laying end of October)… still not laying again. Never any bald spots really, just no egg laying and pale comb. I went to check for mites and noticed she didn’t want to be touched and had a ton of new pin feathers coming in (makes sense why she didn’t...
I am leaning towards egg bound…. I feel her abdomen is hard and she is standing with tail feathers raised. Vent is percolating. I gave her some calcium too and a little petroleum jelly on the outside of vent (it looked very dry).
Will offer these vitamins. Eyes look good. Runs like normal and can still roost/go up into coop. Just not eating much and losing feathers. Seemed to all start after I found that weird soft/non-complete egg
She does this when standing there (@1:46):
It’s like her back feathers are raising up…
Looking for help for my hen! She is starting to lose a bunch of feathers, but too young for a molt. She is not even a year old yet. Appetite is down, and she’s walking weird (video below), but she can still run and catch up to the others. Seems like she’s in pain when I try to touch her...

No roost before, she wasn’t even standing. I offered a 2x2 piece of wood on the ground so it wasn’t elevated. Then upgraded them to a 1x4” on its side (so 3.5 inches). I just walked in to check on her and she’s actually using the new roost again!
She is isolated in a brooder tent thing

Hello everyone: Hen had clear vit b deficiency, was treated with B complex, and some other vitamins in addition to upgrade to higher quality feed. Seems to have recovered in that regard. Went from curled toes and sitting back on hocks to walking and all. Definitely has...
I think her crop is emptying. She poops very normal. She doesn’t eat or drink enough for her crop to really fill up enough for me to feel. My other 3 outside forage and eat a bunch. I can feel their crops easily.
I’ll add vit E! Thank you
I had a similar issue with my hen. Couldn’t really walk, just sat back on hocks. Had curled toes too. I started b complex and now she can walk. Can walk, run, and everything just very clumsy still. Stumbles backwards every now and then.
She has odd feathering on her head.. maybe just...
