I have always wanted the humidity as high as possible. The thing i learned was opening the incubator tooo much. On this hatch, that should start in the morning they are gonna be in there a long time. One big happy family.
Same here. I don't go by their sound. I always wait for the first star shaped crack on the egg itself. Then u might here them. Be patient you gotta be. Good luck and did I tell ya be PATIENT. Jeff

Do what ya can. I'd do it too. Luckie was last to hatch, I believe the humidity was too low in the incubator, and she was stuck to the shell. It was my fault for removing others as they hatched i should have waited. Its hard, im pullin for ya, do what ever your gut tells ya, thats what i did...
I had almost the same thing happen. My little chick could'nt walk either. I left it in the inc. for a day. Nothing, it dryed but never was fluffy. So i read forums saying not to wash them, so I did'nt listen, I made sure the water was 100 degrees and washed it, then towel dryed it. For 2 more...
Something that works for me is, use the shavings but not around the food and water. Once a day i use my good old shop vac to clean their pen out, the chicks dont mind it. Just dont give them an unexcepted ride up the hose.:
I have Light Sussex chicks that are 4 weeks today, they go crazy over bread. I roll little pieces into balls, hold them in my hand they will take one and run. Its like keep-away.
