    Chicks got wet

What?! Isn’t that freaky? I was so glad when all of them dried out. Only one died a few days later and I think it was just under a pile of other chicks. All are doing really well now and some have left for other homes. How are your chicks doing now?

    Chicks got wet

Sorry I didn’t see these! They were under the sort by reaction score? Thanks so much, though. I did leave them in the incubator about 3 hours on a tad warmer. They are back in the brooder with electrolytes and food/mash. All are alive, and that’s a big relief. They were our hens’ eggs, so we are...

    Chicks got wet

Hello. We had a wonderful hatch of 31 chickens yesterday, and put them in a tote overnight with a heat lamp and somehow the water leaked all the way out and the chickens are soaking wet. I put them back in the incubator with a few more that had hatched overnight. They’re covered in water and...

    Golden lace Wyandotte a roo?

I’ve been thinking the same. We have 7 old gals, 11 six month olds and ten 10 wheelers I’m getting 3-4 eggs a day. He’ll be our first sent to the freezer for us to eat I’d rather just have the eggs. Thanks, everyone!

    Golden lace Wyandotte a roo?

Great. I had six silver laced cockerels a few years ago I had to give away. They were mean. Haha. We got an accidental freedom ranger rooster among our Easter Eggers in March. He’s not the most efficient rooster and is scared of everything. Huge fella. Should I cull him and keep this rooster...

    Golden lace Wyandotte a roo?

Hi. My birds are about 10 weeks and I’m suspecting this one is a cockerel. Am I right? I’ve been trying to get good pictures of the little bugger, but you know how it goes. It’s a bit aggressive to the ladies, so I’ve been watching. Thanks.

    Thought I Bought Easter Eggers . . . ?

Finally! I’ve been searching threads to find out if these were EE or another breed. Mine have yellow crests and I call them toupets or Donald Trump haired. This is my first time with EEs and it’s been fun seeing them develop. So quirky! Phyllis Diller…hilarious!

I didn’t think they fit into EE category. I suspect maybe kids were showing mommy the pretty chicks and mom said to put them down Maybe she never said put them back where you found them. Lol

I’ve got a few EEs. I’ve not had any before, so I am fascinated by the differences I see in them. It’s pretty funny since some have beards and some have Mohawks they are beautiful! I wasn’t looking to get a rooster, but I could have. I’ll post a few pics so you can inform me. Thanks.
