    Goose house pics

I have four Brown Chinese. The doors are 36" high and 16" wide. I can squeeze in if needed, so I would imagine a larger goose could fit too ;)

    Is this angel wing?

Three out of four goslings have completely normal wings now!!! One of the little guys still has a gap. Do I rewrap or will this correct itself? He constantly keeps hitching the left wing (his left) up like its bugging him somehow.

    Is this angel wing?

I will either be an expert wraper or the goslings will declare mutiny and lock me up somewhere.

    Is this angel wing?

...and a third developed angel wings overnight. Mazuri Waterfowl Starter sounded like such a good idea in the beginning. Oh well, I have lived and I have learned, que sera sera

Angel wing in ducks, & how we wrap to mend it - Pictorial

Awesome! You just saved my goslings from spending 7-10 days as mummies, wandering around scaring small children. Thanks! -Julie

    Is this angel wing?

Thanks! When I got home from work today another goslings had both wings turned out too, so I apparently need to get this wrapping technique downpat. Sigh... Maintenance diet is supposed to be in tomorrow morning too. Thanks again! -Julie

Angel wing in ducks, & how we wrap to mend it - Pictorial

You wrap all the way around the wing once and then figure 8 it to the body, correct? How do you wrap if it is in both wings? Wrap wing #1 and then figure 8, then wrap wing #2 and figure 8 it again? I was never good at arts and crafts. ;)

    Is this angel wing?

I know there are thousands of these angel wing threads, but I am a newbie to waterfowl so please forgive... Goslings are 33 days old at this point. Fed a diet of Mazuri Waterfowl Starter since arrival, supplemented with greens and allowed out to graze a few hours each day. One is developing...

    Goose house pics

I wondered about the gravel hurting their feet too after we went on a walk-about yesterday and they really did NOT like the gravel along the edge of the driveway. Thought about sand...but that would probably erode quickly when cleaning the pool. I have no clue on ventilation for Colorado...here...

    Goose house pics

Thanks for the complements and advice! These are my first waterfowl, so I am a newbie to all of this and appreciate any help. They have two black shade cloths on them now, but I am searching for white or tan...in this heatwave, the black colors seems to be absorbing and radiating too much heat...

    Goose house pics

My pics are LATE...but everything is LATE in my life right now. Lol. Lots of things to do and not enough time! My brother took sympathy on my goslings being forced to live in a house of my making...so he took over, built them a house in his shop, loaded it on a trailer and brought it...

How much headroom is needed for housing Brown Chinese?

Thanks for the link! Don't know why that didn't turn up in my searches. They all look great! I LOVE the Goosey-Loosey Goose House from Flyte So Fancy in the UK, but I'm stuck in the USA with mediocre carpentry skills http://www.flytesofancy.co.uk/chickenhouses/Goosey-Loosey_Goose_House.html

How much headroom is needed for housing Brown Chinese?

I just received my copy in the mail today. Finally (!!!) a book on geese that has details instead of vague suggestions! The shelter it shows on page 94 is exactly what I have planned, but now I have a height. Glad I didn't go ahead and cut the boards to 36" To Enchanted Sunrise Farms - No...

How much headroom is needed for housing Brown Chinese?

Mine will be, there are far too many coyotes in this neck of the woods for them to stay out, not to mention neighborhood dogs. Hopefully I can get them into the habit of going up when they're young, so it's not like herding cats every evening. :)
