Week old chicks coming down with something FAST

Recently bought some chicks from Rural King (I know, I know), including several D'uccles and bantam Game Hens and some orpingtons. They are in a tub with woodshavings, eating chick crumbles. After a few days, one of the game hens died. I thought it was wry neck at first and I'd just missed the...

No worries! I plan to post him to CraigsList and elsewhere, but thought it was worth the ask. :)

Oh no way! Me too!! You don't happen to want a rooster, do you? 😂 I rent, and my landlady let me have chickens, but one of my gold sebrights turned out to be a roo, and I don't think she'll look kindly on it as we're right next to a bunch of other rentals. He's very calm and sweet, but LOUD.

Gold Sebright Rooster Re-home/Looking for Silkie hen in Central NC

Hello! I'm looking to rehome a young Gold Sebright roo, about 9 weeks old (pictured below, behind the gray lady). He's very calm and sweet, but we cannot have roosters in our area. At the same time, I'm looking for a silkie hen to keep my other silkie (9 weeks) company -- she isn't able to...

    Panting or Gapeworm?

It's been very hot out and I've noticed my PR hen has her mouth open almost constantly. I have provided shade, extra water, cool treats etc, but she still seems to be panting. I'm starting to worry that it's not just the heat, as none of my other chickens are showing a similar reaction...

    Baby chick prolapse???

This morning I noticed one of my new golden sebright chicks had pasty butt. As I was cleaning it off I saw what I think is a prolapsed vent. There's also an odd bump on it's abdomen. The chick is very docile, but doesn't seem outwardly I'll -- just sleepy baby chick behavior. Yesterday it was...

    Breed identification for day-olds

I picked up some new bantam babies from TSC and they're darned cute -- but I have no idea what they are! Any help or educated guesses welcome! Chick 1: Chick 2: Chick 3: I also got this fella, who I believe is a bantam silkie: though I'm not sure if he's white or another variety.

    Trying to identify some babies

Hello! I am the proud mom of two new babies! They're just at 4 or five weeks now, and I'm trying to figure out what breed they are (and what sex, if you're able!). My parents got them for me at a local feed mill store and said they were both Araucanas -- but seeing as I live in the BFE I very...
