Hi
I have attached a photo of one of my hens, she has black(blood) spots on her comb and around her eyes. 90% of the flock has it and seems to be contagious.
can you confirm what it is and how to treat it? I have not seen this before. they have been treated with doxycycline and...
This is a recent development, the chick as unfortunately died, I have given them some calcium solution, and did not seem to improve
I use 2 hatcherys and both have the same problem. I have given them antibiotics but still does not seem to improve
A few birds in my current flock and previous batchs have had a cramp in the left leg and not being able to move it and will lay in the floor, What would cause such?
Thanks
The older ones, they are 28 day old
The gasping ones can stand and move.
I also have some chickens who start to limp, and loose movement in the one leg
There is a door to the right which we leave open during the day, this was taken at night
I did try increase the number of birds this batch, and could be overcrowding.
I am based in Johannesburg South Africa.
I mixed as per instruction
Now upon further investigation it seems if I used 2 types of antibiotics, before I did not know the doxymax was a antibiotics, my mistake
I will have to take it to a vet, I have stopped medication to see if anything improves
