What type of heat do you have in there to heat the coop in your winter weather? The temperature for young chicks would need to be warmer than for the older ones, which would be overheated in the same temperature.
The older ones, they are 28 day oldThat temp would equal 80 degrees F in daytime and 60 F at night. That is too cold for the younger chicks. Are you losing the young chicks mostly or the older ones? Can the chicks who are gasping stand or are they too weak to walk? I think that I would treat for coccidiosis in case you haven’t already.
