    Wire Egg collection baskets

    For what it's worth, I use wire. An unexpected plus to wire is when I accidentally leave the basket in the run (fortunately without any eggs). A wire basket is much easier to clean than a woven basket. I would just use what is convenient and most useful for you. Thanks, Don

    Don't forget DE sprinkled along the ant paths to the water. Another thing you might try is cucumber. Cucumber slices are supposed to repel ants (if your chickens don't eat them). Good luck!
