    Thanks for all the advice. The Black Australorp sounds great, and it works for what I needed. Thanks! I was thinking of using them for their eggs, but I would like for them to be good with children.

    I am looking for some breeds that aren't very flighty. I live in Washington, so it is rainy most of the year. I was thinking a flock of mixed breeds, and I would like the Amaurcana breed. If any of you know some good sister birds for an Amauricana, please let me know.
