I'm looking into adopting this chicken. The seller is not familiar with chickens and can't give me any information on the gender or breed - but did tell me it was 1.5 months old, hopefully it's not to young to be gendered. Looking for help:
Update: After an hour of huffing and puffing on Jonesy's part, (huffing and puffing = non-stop squawking, as per usual with Jonesy). She is finally sat in her nesting box. The fact that I had to put her in there doesn't sit well with me, it's almost as if she doesn't know where the nesting box...
Thank you everyone for your help! I guess I'll just have to play the waiting game and see what happens. If she lays again I'll update this Thread, if she hasn't laid in another week, should I get concerned?
The weather is much cooler now and we've had bouts of rain for the past week, I would assume she'd resume laying by now, but as of yet, she has not. At this point I am getting very concerned for her health, not laying for this long must have some sort of adverse effects?
