    Any idea what breeds I have here?

    Any ideas what I got here? 1,2 and 4 were labeled “barred rock pullets” lol. I hope they’re pullets but I know they’re not barred rock. 3 & 7 were in the bantam bin, both have feathered feet. And 5 and 6 were labeled “pearl star leghorn pullets”.

    I have a duck who has gone broody, she’s sitting on 6 eggs. The eggs will hatch end of September/ very beginning of October. By October nights will be into the 40s, will they be too cold??

    I have a few polish chicks and I heard you can sex them by their poofs? I don’t know if there’s a proper term for poofs lol. But what age can you sex them? And any guesses on this one?

    HELP!!! 20 week old Pekin starting to lay or egg bound??

    Update: I came home from work that day to check on her and give her a warm bath and she had passed away. I had no idea she was close to death at all. She showed no signs of being egg bound possibly til that morning. I’m devastated and don’t understand. Thank you for all your help though❤️

    She was breathing with an open mouth when I first opened the coop but it could have just been warmer in there. And she was bobbing her tail a little bit for a few minutes but not anymore. I felt her abdomen and it seemed soft

I had thought my 20 week old girl had been showing signs of stating to lay because she had found a spot under the coop ramp outside and kept sitting there on and for 2 days but acting normal other than that and last night when I put them to bed...

    That’s what a few people have been saying. But they don’t free feed all day. And the ducks are at the food way less than the turkeys and chickens. And she eats at the same as my other duck and he is a healthy weight

    My 20 week old Pekin is starting to sit under the coop ramp away from her other duck buddy on and off today, which is very unlike her. She’s eating, drinking, walking and running fine but just keeps going to this spot and sitting. Is this her getting ready to lay or is something wrong?
