I had one 1 out of my 2 chicks that were 7 weeks old pass away last night….will it be ok if I put the other one I have in with my two 1 week old chicks? I have them together now as of about 30 minutes ago..being supervised and the 7 week old is super chill and is kind of mothering the littles...
It was shrink wrapped in its shell so I tried to help it out after watching various videos for hours..he/she was bleeding around umbilical cord so I put baking soda on it…resting and breathing and has been moving when bumped by other chicks…have I destroyed it’s chance for survival? 😭
Thanks guys! I could of swore I got her out of a bin with some other weird name on it like buckeye or something or other lol. All my other Easter eggers look nothing like her so I was confused!
She doesn’t look anything like my other Easter eggers is why I asked. The others around her are 12 week Easter eggers and she is 10 weeks. No puffy cheeks?
I have 24 hens(4-6mo) and 6 roosters(5mo) as well as 4 guinea fowl(2mo). I’m wondering the best way to integrate the 4 guineas into the already established flock of 30 and if they’re old enough to be introduced in? My hens and roosters vary in breeds. We have Golden Comets, White Leghorns...
Just curious if anyone knows the max height of a rooster in this breed? My 12 week old cockerel is already right at 2ft and I’m curious as to about when he’ll reach his full height and about what it will be?
