  • Hi Kalifornsky, We raise emu and I have one that has similar symptoms to the one you described in your 2018 post. You mention Ivomec for treatment and that you had success. Did you administer just one time or did you repeat in 2 or more weeks to clear up any hatched eggs problems. Thanks in advance for your reply. Lois

Hello! Could you link the post in question? I forget what symptoms in particular. If you suspect parasites are causing your chick illness, treatment with Panacur or Ivermectin will clear up the infection. I've had several issues with the parasite Giardia and it has proven to be fatal to chicks without treatment.

They become lethargic, their poop is watery, and they stop eating. I'd say a repeat dose 2 weeks later just to be safe is fine.

Good luck! Let me know anything else, I'd be happy to help.
Hi! Do you by chance sell unfertilized eggs for eating? Or know of someone who does that is willing to ship? Thanks!

The eggs I sell are for hatching but I'm sure you can find cheap eggs on Ebay- I've seen some starting at around $20-$30. Keep your eyes peeled! Fertilized eggs can be eaten, it's just that they're usually more valuable if fertile so they will be more expensive.
