    We finally have babies. I'm guessing the lighter are my lilac ducklets and the darker are blue drakelets? DH is going to help me try to corral and take pictures tomorrow.

    My girls are finally laying :wee One is laying in the chicken house and the other is laying in the duck house.

    My silkies are sitting on some EE, OE, and possibly silkied EE eggs. Have about two weeks left for them to hatch. I'm sure we'll have roos hatch.

    We're considering Nigerian's next year. Haven't decided yet because it would mean downsizing my flock. @Nyla - here's a today picture DH sent me. Their caruncles aren't even turning orange to suggest thye're laying somewhere hidden.

    I have: three silkie hens not laying, and my silkie roo two EE hens laying, and their EE roo two Maran hens laying, fairly regularly one Muscovy Drake two Muscovy Hens The silkie's I expected to be fairly lax on their laying. They're more eye candy than anything else. BUT I AM SO READY FOR...

    It looks like a Red-Shouldered Hawk. "Identification: Brown above with reddish barring across light breast. Brownish-red shoulders. The dark tail is crossed by narrow white bands. "

    I have a handsome EE Rooster, his sister's lay blue and he hatched from blue. Year old last month. I could loan him to you or trade for a laying hen of some sort if you want to PM me.
