Rooster & Hen (13 weeks)- Inseparable! What to do?

Interesting, thank you! I think the friendship is mutual though thus far, they've just hit 14 weeks. Probably influenced by the fact they were hatched together (by me) and hand reared and when their 3rd little mate die at 5 days old, it was just the two of them for so long discovering the world...

Rooster & Hen (13 weeks)- Inseparable! What to do?

Would've thought it would be crowing considering the black one has for weeks now haha! It Also has a pale pink comb which has been smaller and only just getting a bit redder.

Rooster & Hen (13 weeks)- Inseparable! What to do?

Nope, no roosters. Just 2 x older hens and the 2 x 13 week old chickens. The crow is strange and sounds more like something during than a cockadoodle do! But figured it was because it's still growing?

Rooster & Hen (13 weeks)- Inseparable! What to do?

Am I right in thinking they're 'breaking the rules'? Had many a hen (but first rooster)... these two seem unique! Nope council doesn't allow, that's why it's being rehomed about 1 hour away. Just the question is whether it's even possible to rehome a rooster with 1 hen....

Rooster & Hen (13 weeks)- Inseparable! What to do?

100% , it's crowing! Its comb went red quicker and developed a waddle much quicker too. Well I have never know a chicken or rooster to actively seek out cuddles and never leave until you take them off your lap (rather than just submit which you pick them up for a cuddle). And when one comes for...

Rooster & Hen (13 weeks)- Inseparable! What to do?

Haha, Haha, definitely not! Unfortunately I am not directly involved in the rehoming as I live near the city in Melbourne (Aus). I hatched the cuties and hand reared them for a few weeks but they live on my families property with 2 older chooks (but roosters aren't allowed due to council...

Rooster & Hen (13 weeks)- Inseparable! What to do?

So I have two gorgeous Australorps which I hatched. They were raised together just the two of them until they were 4/5 weeks old when they joined 2 older hens. Now one is a rooster and it's set to move in with a family friend on property as a pet without other chooks. However, they are still the...
