I had 13 quail and all but one died aswell. I think they didn't learn to eat in time and became to weak aswell and could not eat. But the surviving quail is doing very well, going on 2 weeks tomorrow. :D
The brooder is in another room not connected to the house. I will give the egg a try. Do u know if he'll die because he's by himself? That's what I'm more worried about.
I am at work at the moment. Everything I'm doing, I have done before with my previous batch of quails except that last time I hatched chickens with them. Maybe the chickens taught them how to eat? Anyway I only have 4 left and I'm just accepting they fact that they will probably die aswell...
Hi, I see this was from 6 years ago but did he survive? My quails are not eating and are all very sleepy and many of them have died. What did you do to get him to eat?
Yes they can escape the heater and have good ventilation. I edited the last part of that if that's any help. They seem okay now, maybe it did get too hot and they didn't move away etc. If anymore die I will update
