    I love the idea of pills in blueberries. I was trying to figure out how to give a pill without a fight. Marvellous!!

    Are there any good pre-fab coops?

    We built our own when we got our first chickens and then I saw people buying second hand metal garden sheds and using old ladders for roosts. You will need to get something with window for light and ventilation. I don’t know if you are handy.

    I am pretty new to having chickens. But the chicken in the photo seems to have more comb and wattle. If the 2 light brown are the same breed then I would say he is a boy We have 2 Columbia Rock cross chickens now 14 weeks old and one of them turned out to be a cockerel

    Good to know . Mine are 3 weeks old and once a week is not enough any more.

    The chicks have a lot more room today. My husband took timeout from coop building to make the chicks a spacious new home I am one very lucky woman.😊

    Cardboard annex sounds like a good idea. I don't have any big boxes right now. Time to order a few laundry baskets from Amazon :) We have a screen on the box now and they are watching for an opening when I try to fill the feeder.

    Thank you. The garden is mainly vegetables. I also have some perennial flowers. Going to try a cattle panel arch this year for beans and squash.

    Hello Chicken People We just got our very first chickens. We got the day old chicks from our local co-op. I chose 3 different breeds because they were supposed to be docile and good layers. 2 Rodebars, 2 ColumbiaRocks and 2 Azure Blues. I hope the Azure Blues are both girls buy one is bigger...
