    It's been a while now. Misty is alive and well, thanks to all of you guys. Just thought a final update was in order. She has rejoined her flock and earned back her rightful place as the alpha hen she was. Her head wound (which was much worse than I originally thought) is most of the way healed...

    Misty is still recouperating in the house, as I don't want flies laying on her wounds. She is drinking plenty on her own and eating a little. Both of her eyes have opened and she laid an egg tonight, which I assume is a good sign, although I wish she would have reserved her energy! Just thought...

    Thank you everybody for your advice and well wishes! Misty looks much better today, 🤗The swelling to her eyes has gone down significantly and she opened one eye today and took a few bites of food! I'm very thankful to all of you, for helping me help her!

    Thank you, for your advice. I tried the tea bag this morning amd I will do it again tomorrow morning. It also helped to loosen some of the crusty blood so that was good too.

    Thank you for responding, I appreciate your advice. I did try to wash her wash her wounds out but it seemed very painful for her so I stopped and put the neosporin on. I will try the saline solution for her eyes and to clean her up a bit more tommorrow. Thank you!
