Will have to look into that! Doing a few more test runs in my own incubators first but if I see the same outcomes I'll definitely make some calls. Thanks for your input
Interesting, any ideas of how I would go about finding out if that's the case? Not sure if we have an avian vet out here to be honest, but would be open to testing them if I can.
Thank you, everything I've read has said to avoid layer feed & breeder feeds I've found in Australia all market themselves as Breeder Layer Feed. Would the calcium not become an issue for my roosters, then?
Sorry, I was wrong on that one. Some of them had the chicks pass in the eggs at about day 14. So day 14 till hatch day (one had one pass while zipping out).
Would love some advice.
I am a small chicken breeder in Australia.
I have literally *just* began selling again this season, a bit early with it being winter however it doesn't get very cold where I live & days are still warm. Chooks are laying amazingly & fertility is good!
1 cage I am having...

Boy 2 is younger & also standing at an angle - can get a better photo of him standing straight if needed!
I am relatively new to the breed...
Hi all,
Would love to know if anyone else here has any experience with the IM incubators. I believe this is a 72 egg. I can't find very much on google about them, but I have the opportunity to buy one & would love to know opinions.
He's a wyandotte so definitely pretty fluffy, I did read a little while ago people trim down there. He's a generally friendly guy, but I'm not sure how accepting he would be of it 🤣 but it could be worth a go?!
Hi all,
My favourite rooster is about 1 yr 11 months old. Since we've had him, he hasn't been in with girls (they were too young). He's been finally with his girls for about 2 months now, none of the younger girls are laying. But roughly 2 months ago I put in an older hen (1 yr old) to hatch...
Thank you!
They're lovely little girls. Unfortunately we lost one due to her slipping off the roost bar a few nights ago. But the other girls are lovely. These are our first batch of speckled we've grown. We have 2 older hens & a rooster & they're amazing birds, but we've had them for almost 8...
