    When we first got our silkies last year we had a grown roo- Buster and was unsure of the other 4- after the first few weeks of keeping the chicks and Buster separated we decided to put them all together- Buster was such a good caretaker and protector...never hurt any of them- flash forward a few...

    What is this???

    This nice looking chicken was purchased from a local feed and seed store back in March. Label said Buff Orpington Pullets. Looks like a roo to me. What do you think.

    New Silkies seem skittish

    We bought 5 new Silkie chicks a week ago this past Saturday. The guy we bought them from said they were 2 weeks old so that would make them 3 weeks old now.     8 for me..They are 3 red sex links, 3 commercial black. 1 silver laced wyandotte, 1 buff orpington. 6 for the wife. 5 2 week old silkies and (1white, 1 blue, 3 partridge) and 1 grown partridge silkie rooster

    Second side of our coop now open for business.....We got 5 lil silkie chicks and 1 silkie rooster.... Buster our silkie rooster...... our newest addition to the chickens....5 silkie chicks...2 weeks old.... not sure if we have hens or roosters just yet....

    Had a busy weekend after a short break. We got the wife's half painted, installed roof and started putting the wire on. It will be done soon. 5x12 on one side. 5 x10 on the new side.

    Need help to ID TSC chicks......

    Here is a new picture of the TSC chicks. They seem to be growing much faster than the red sexlinks.
