The white ones are a barnvelder crossed with a white leghorn hen, I'm seeing what happens if you cross my good foraging larger framed chicken with a high strung egg laying machine. we shall see.

    Dark Brahma Bantams

You can PM me if you have any particular questions, I have a small flock we're trying to develop into a great strain, but it's a 20 year project. As there are no really good types of the Dark Brahmas around in the PNW we are starting from scratch.

    Ancient breeds

The Brahmas are among the most ancient, at least according to the standard. Brahma Pootras they were called. Also oddly one of the larger of fowl.

I've got to admit that is great news. Its awesome to hear that some people are getting to do what they really want to do and get paid for it. Very nice.

recently I tried a fryer from the store...it's not the same as the home grown, but i'm going to be breeding a bunch of dark brahma bantams here in the near future if someone is looking for a tasty personal chicken!

Precisely, although i dislike the eagles that we have out here as well, luckily i found that if you put up a bunch of 10 ft posts, "used to be trees" the eagles don't like them because i would guess it limits their ability to swoop.
