    Most of the people out here expect everything to be sold less than it's worth. May I ask how much you get for chicks and the like?

    I bet you and I live in the same area. I got rid of all my ducks. Just have some layers and a few show birds. About the permit is, best to do it. $ 50 a year isn't much. And honestly how many actually bother looking for "illegal" fowl.

    Thankyou, I think it would be for the best to just restart... I have a relative with it also(we both brought it into our flocks from auctions) so I'll give her the birds I can't bear to kill... They actually have very few signs of it, aside from the occasional sneeze and inexistent egg...

    Got my birds NPIP tested and got the results back. 15/15 samples Mycoplasma Gallisepticum positive and negative for the other four. I have 50+ chickens, most of laying age, 60+ ducks(34 of laying age, although only 19 have ever laid eggs) and 8 goslings... I WAS planning on breeding them but...

    Those teeny steyrafoam incubators are too flimsy and touchy(they suck). I suggest finding something better that would be worth the time, money and parts you are inveating into it. :) Either way... I wish you the best of luck, newbies. ;)

    Crummy pic(and I've put aluminum foil on,the bottom to help increase humidity) but this was the very first HM incubator. My dad made tge box about Nov. 2010 and about 6 wks ago we gave it a nice,revision. :) works great- I think I got about 65% on these duck eggs
