Any duck owners in Washington (besides Yakima)?

I hope it's like seattle. Then we could get more if we feel we can handle it. :) if Noone has said anything by now then I'm sure it's no problem at all :) or get more neighbors to share them with haha

pea gravel or sand for ducks AND chickens?

another question is: are those waterers deep enough for the ducks full beak or do you have to have another deeper waterer for them

pea gravel or sand for ducks AND chickens?

That looks awesome. I was considering doing something that loops very similar. What does your daily maintenance look like? Do you just kitt litter scoop the sand? I was going to do linoleum and straw in the actual coop...but they will only be there for nights.

O how fun. Lucky you with nice and awesome neighbors. Ours are still inside but I think our neighbors will be alright with it. We're up on east hill. Have a decent lot but not huge. Very normal suburbs yard. I read 3 ducks or chickens for 5000 Sq ft and 1 additional for every 1000 Sq ft on top...

pea gravel or sand for ducks AND chickens?

Reading alot about using sand or gravel. Sand seems like the winner for chickens but gravel seems like the favor for ducks. Ideas on which to do for both?

coop against the fence/hardware cloth on 4 sides or 2?

Ok. Would you attach the hardware cloth in the inside or outside of the wood. If I am going to do hardware cloth maybe I will just skip the wood all together. Also, it's 27 1/2 inches wide 142 inches long. Would this be big enough as a run or is it too skinny?

coop against the fence/hardware cloth on 4 sides or 2?

Ok, I have a structure that is a roof and posts right now. I want to build off one side to make the 'coop' and make this the run. I would like them to free range most of the time but just in case I want to have all of the above. Question: I was going to put this up against the fence and put...
