    Mass On Outer Right Leg

Doesn't look like an ingrown feather. She barely pits weight on it. Hops on one leg. Doesn't feel like it's connected deep into the leg. Mostly under the skin mass. And she's from Tractor Supply 2 years ago. Not sure if they vaccinate.

    Mass On Outer Right Leg

I have a hen the just started to limping today and doesn't walk much. There's a lump about the diameter of a dime on her right leg. It feels pretty solid...a bit dense but not rock solid nor really soft i guess. No odor, no discharge, no broken skin and no brusing. Almost like a little balloon...

Limping & Lump on Leg - Cyst, Tumor or Something Else?

Hello. I know this is an old post but what was the outcome of that growth on your bird? I have a hen with a similar growth on her leg. She limps. Any help would be appreciated.

    Feed Withdrawn Eggs to Chickens?

I get that. I'm mostly talking about the time that the antibiotics are being administered. Thank you

    Feed Withdrawn Eggs to Chickens?

With Doxy I think it is 14 days. But some go longer to ensure residual antibiotics is gone.

    Feed Withdrawn Eggs to Chickens?

I'm giving my flock a round of antibiotics. Can I cook and feed those eggs back to my flock during this period? And AFTER the 7 day administration what could i do with those eggs for the withdrawal period?

Will my chickens destroy my vegetable garden?

Some items in the garden they may not bother. Keeping a watchful eye I let them forage through my young squash plants. They mostly look for bugs or anything moving. But the moment I notice them pecking at plants they're out! But all chicks are different.

    Blackoil Sunflower and Safflower Seed

Ive been noticing a ton of blackoil sunflower seed in stores lately, obviously meant for wild birds. Is both the store-bought blackoil seed and safflower safe for chickens? I was thinking of mixing it or use as a supplement to the chick feed. If so, how many weeks old is safe?

    Hawk attacked my new babies!

Sounds great. Surpising, chickens recover pretty well after such incidents. Seems like disease is more likely to take them out than injury.

I think the chicks will be okay considering the ambient temperature.

    taming my Babies

They'll come along, trust me. Over time they'll establish you as mom and upon seeing you they'll be happy. Just try hand feeding them. That helped for me. Some of mine will perch on my shoulder and arms to get food at times. You'll always have a few that will never let you hold them or that stay...

    Hawk attacked my new babies!

If it's throat is damaged then maybe a while it eats. Just keep pushing supplemented water and try offering food as you'v been doing. The hawk is established in that area apparently, it's not going anywhere unless you rid yourself of it.
