Experienced hatchers -we need your brains!

You guys were wonderful! I turned the incubator up to 102. Within a few hours, I had pipping chicks. I think the last of the batch hatched out today, so I ended up with 4 polish and 1 porcelain duccle.. Overall, extremely disappointing, but after talking with ya'll, I order a incubator fan...

Oh, these are out of the turner.. I took them out on Sunday.. I just wondered if switching them from rotating in an upright position vs now being laid flat could've affected the eggs... My friend is hatching as well, and shes having similar problems. Her temp was 99.5 and humidity has been...

Air cells seem large...since the chicks have pipped, I havent opened the incubator again in case I kill them...If I turn it up, will it correct the slowness? And, I misspoke...the humidity during incubation ranged between 47%-55%, and now its between 70-75%. Any opinions on removing them...

Wondering what the protocol/steps are for a successful hatch! Last year, before I was knowledgeable, I set a bunch of eggs in the incubator, kissed them fondly, wished them luck, and had a great hatch rate. This year, trying to be more 'correct', ive monitored humidity, closely watched...

    12+ Polish hatching eggs! FRESH!

I understand! Even though these gals are less than a year, they are laying HUGE eggs! I couldnt believe how much bigger these gals eggs are compared to my polish hens last year... I only had a few white crested black ladies last year, and their eggs were the constant source of jokes for my...

Questions about my eggs ?! help please!

Quote: Your post was sort of 'attackish'.... Im sure it did make her defensive... The first time I incubated, my temp was insane - 110 or 120 before Id catch it, then back down to normal... I had the bator in an empty bedroom and the sun was affecting it I put 42 eggs in the incubator and...
