    Halloween Hatch

    I have just set 12 eggs in my new brinsea. Temps at 99.5 and humidity 45 so hopefully it works out! Make sure to crank that humidi extra high before hatching to soften up the shells! That may be your problems.

    Easiest way to tell is to incubate them for a week and then candle them to see if any blood vessels have started to form. Works every time ;)

    I'm in Canada, and our winters get very cold, and I was wondering if putting the heat lamp on the quails 24/7 would be harmful to them. I don't really have another means of heating them, and I'm not just doing it so they lay, it's just to keep them alive! Keep in mind when can get -20*C over here.
