We bought 6 pullets of 3 breeds in the spring and since the hatchery sends roosters of unknown varieties for “warmth” we decided to just buy Buff Orpington roosters and feed them out as meat birds. They’re now 18 weeks old and haven’t heard a peep or crow from the buff Orpingtons. Is this normal?
