Hey. So I started my flock out mid July and let's just say chicken addiction set in fast. I started with 6 "pullets" and one bantam rooster and one of the pullets has turned out to be a rooster as well (he will be culled soon) anyways so then I got 11 chicks at a week or so of age and now they...- kfratar

Silkie rooster?
I had watching the poof on the top of his head for a week or so thinking it was kinda looking like those streamers ppl had mentioned in other posts that the silkie roosters get and then a few days ago the comb started to become more noticeable. Silkie rooster?
I am thinking that this little chick (6weeks) is looking like a rooster but it is my first silkie chick so I was looking for some input from some other members. Thanks :) and I'm kinda thinking it may be a mixed silkie because it doesn't have the dark dark skin of the silkies I have looked at?- kfratar

Help, Hens or Roo's?
I think some are going through a molt right now cause there have been a lot of feathers in the coop and run. I guess these 2 have just confused me cause the other pullets seem to be more rumpless... We believe they are EE's and then got a polish roo and tried to get a cuckoo marans pullet but...- kfratar

The curly tail feathers is what is making me wonder, and how they both hold their heads up so erect at time ... I think they are around 4 months but not 100% on how old they actually were when I got them. These are my first chickens so I am new to this whole thing. Thx- kfratar

Hey, just wanted to see if anyone can give me a little help with the gender of these 2 chickens I have got.... I've had them for about a month and a half now and know that I have 2 Roo's forsure but haven't been able to nail the gender of these ones down yet. Any help is appreciated. #1...- kfratar
