    are they stilll feeding the squabs? if they are still feeding them they will develop but i reckon much slower than they should. i'm not quite sure about the dark skin part.

    how old are your birds? make 5 nest boxes. each cock bird should have his own box. once they have made claim of the boxes it will be home to them. should be spacious boxes those and must have doors to lock the birds in. it's best to have a mash wire in the front of each box to easily...
