    I think this is the roo - upright gait and wattle development. Now here is the hen, I desperately hope: No wattles, thinner legs, less upright posture. Not pecking at others. S/he has a long tail, but may be a phoenix? The roo is a cochin, silver laced...

    Thanks! I think it was actually medium grit, but I guess if it were a problem, they wouldn't eat it. :-)

    I know that chicks don't need grit, but my 4 week old chicks have very full crops on a diet of only medicated chick feed. It won't hurt them if i give them some grit, will it? They ate it up very quickly. Don't remember if my previous chicks had full crops at this age...

    I will keep you posted! I am a little afraid it's a roo now... It is such a pretty light blue/silver color, with grey legs with some yellow on them. What is an egger? Do you mean an easter egger?? Cuz I would love one of them!!!
