    I found a brown egg today...or terracotta color so that is 3!. I'm afraid they won't start laying in the house. Just random places in the yard. I put fake eggs in the nests and on the floor of the hen house. I put lots of hay in it. They love to scratch around.

    I don't know who had it! them... I have 12 different types of hens and they are all born around April 1 because I got them on April 5 in the mail. We started out with a bang! Lots of chicks!! The only one I know it wasn't was Rocky the rooster. lol

    This sounds just like my chicken that I thought had broken her leg. She is a Buff, too. She lays with one leg out. Eats..poop looks normal. So don't give up? It's been 3 days.

    The Russian Orloff is back with the other girls and is doing fine. I snuck her in at night. She came fluttering out the next day just like everyone else. Thanks for all the help.
