Heated rocks (or flat pavers) as coop warmers

I’d say good idea. Wrap in towels or burlap sacking to allow heat to emit over the full night and put somewhere safe. I have not tried it but I’m thinking of doing it because it will stay hot for longer than a hot water bottle and is easier to handle. I suppose it would be hard to reach a...

    Elector psp

Did you get a reply? I’ve heard of something similar before that a person was using but I could not find it. I’m in UK and we can’t get Elector PSP over here. Are you UK?

Where can I get Elector psp in uk

Unfortunately it’s supplied from USA and postage is equal to product costs. Any knowledge of a UK supplier supplying from the UK?

Vorwerk Gender Confusion Male or Female?

It’s hugely difficult with Vorwerk. We’ve raised both male and female and didn’t know for ages what sex they were. Never been a well chicken

Thank you Mrs K, we will keep her on layers pellets. We were concerned because she wasn’t laying eggs and didn’t want a build up of calcium to cause further symptoms …. but as she isn’t digesting food properly anyway it’s the best bet.

    Never been a well chicken

Thank you. We are very reticent to go to our local avian vet since the last time we went when we took our Silkie on day one of her being quiet and lethargic as we suspected she MIGHT have eaten rhubarb leaves and they took her off us and pumped her stomach and we could hear her screaming… she...

Designed to be a fast acting pick-me -up supplement full of energy and immune system supporting vitamins. She eats...

    Never been a well chicken

My small bantam was lame from a chick when we got her. We suspected the wrong food causing gout but it could be genetic. We treated her for gout at the time. The lameness would swap from left to right and back or be in both at times. She seemed to recover and by February this year looked...

    Fluid in lungs dying

I am so sorry for you and your beloved chicken which you tried so hard to save. Did you ever get an answer to your question? I ask because the symptoms found so similar to my beloved Cockerel (who died) …. The crop changing to purple and the bubbling when he was gasping for air. I’m addition he...
