    Thank you, i may have to try this as my heat lamp has just died. Chick is still in the shell with its beak out, no attempt at zipping, its trying to move but is very squished. Should i help at some point?

    It was knocked off last night in our attempt to make the heat lamp safe over night and putting it on damp cloths, it was a broken and coming off. I am too worried to help in any way, but i dont want to loose this chick.
