1.one was a cobb meaty and the other a brown shaver layer.

I had a crook chook that was holding its head in quite alot,I noticed she died yesterday,no signs of injury at all.
Does anyone know what this could be?
She seemed slow and walked slowley as well.

My second duck has laied alot of eggs,maybe 15 or so,but she is in a flat floored nest box and the eggs keep rolling out onto the ground.
Do ducks need a slight depression in the laying area to hold all those eggs in one place,.
I notice sometimes a few eggs are not quite underneath her...
Ive just had all 13 eggs hatch for a first time broody,I reckon thats pretty good.
Do I need to seperate mum and babys from the drake and the other laying female?
I think I heard the drake can be a little mean towards young ones?

well..........some sad news
The door to the pen blew open again in the last cyclone that just went through,they both got out and the tom was killed by one of my dogs.....poor thing..........so now the dog goes.
Its the third time he has done it,last time it was 3 scovies,3 turkeys,and 14...
one would think since they are a scavenger/forager that is omnivorous (sp) they would have a very good sense of smell.
i still believe they are little T-rex's, and they were scavengers/opportunistic hunters.
we do have possums here,quite a few too.
They tend to be in the bush more than the built up areas.
They are a massive problem with killing fledgling native endangered birds,kiwi's,kakapo's and many others.
I dont doubt they would grab a smaller chook,but not a bigger bird.
