1,4,5,6 in my opinion like like cockerels. Mostly Due to their hackles, but their combs as well And the color of the Wyandotte I think
1) golden laced cockerel. Indicators for me are the hackles, color, and defined comb
2. Easter egger-pullet

Nope. I haven’t had any recent eggs since my last post though. And I recently got three female Cayugas who are now in lock down inside the duck run/coop so nothing is able to get in there either. One thought/question I had was if it were possible my mallards were stealing them from somewhere...
Just an update. This duckling made it all the way and just never pipped and hatched so unfortunately it didn’t make it. I ended up ordering three female Cayuga that ducklings and they are doing great 😊

Is she laying on the egg or have you pulled it inside? You have to candel the egg with a small light and you’ll be able to see fetal development in about a week if she is laying on the egg or incubating inside
I have been thinking the same thing but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a wild duck where I live but know that doesn’t mean it can’t happen. I decided to try and incubate the last one I found in the duck house and it’s developing which was exciting!
My whiting true blue lays large blue eggs that are for sure store quality. And they are productive layers for being colored layers. That and they are beautiful birds. I’d look into those for sure
