    Yeah, he doesn't look quite like my other rooster who IS a black copper Marans. Does he look like a wheaten/BCM cross though? Would growing out the chicks to see what shade of eggs they lay tell me anything?

    When I got this rooster, I was told he was a black copper Marans, but the more I look at him, the more I think he's either wheaten, or possibly a black copper/wheaten cross. What do y'all think? His wing feathers are not solid black OR cinnamon colored - they're black with 'streaks' of cinnamon...

    Yes I do have a syringe. I could not find the liquid corid anywhere so I had to get the powder. Can I make a half gallon and store it in the fridge for a few days or MUST it be freshly made every time? I could make a quart using a little less than 1/2 teaspoon of powder, couldn't i?

    So Corid is amprolium, which is what is in the medicated feed. Is it ok to continue feeding that while they are getting the medicated water?

    Make a gallon fresh daily? My goodness, that seems like a huge waste - they're only drinking maybe 2 cups total a day. Is that something I can get at tractor supply or southern states?

    None of my chickens has been exposed to any others, no. They are in a 1/4 acre fenced-in area since allowing them to free range resulted in too many deaths by stray dogs and such. The only other person nearby that has chickens lives up at the top of the mountain and he keeps his penned, too.
