    Yep! Spoiled. I started chasing her off my deck flapping a half open umbrella (mimicking territorial wing flapping - in my mind at least) lol. They mostly stay in the yard now :)

    Kids didn't finish their hamburgers, so the chickens had those! Theyre also working on the pears that fell from the tree and didn't get picked up..

    Dip their beaks in it, then they will realise they LOVE it and will go crazy.

    Hi all! I'm in Metchosin. I have 5 hens, great layers. We had a cougar on property recently but the hen house was secure! Awesome. I know nothing about the bylaws, but the homeowner had chickens here before, and neighbours have lots too??

    I just throw it right on the ground or directly into the compost pile. They eat bugs. A little dirt is fine!

    sounds like a teenager to me!! When she's fertile she may submit to you, but for now she's all "you're not my mom!" Amd "none of my friends mom make them go in the coop" and not doing homework and whatevs. It may pass! Try tossing treats into the coop instead of picking her up...

    4 of my hens lay in our beautiful, clean nesting boxs. One hen prefers a pile of poo in the poo hammock.so gross. what is she thinking? Going to change the poo hammock so it is less desirable for her. Gross though!
