Happy Wednesday my fellow duck parents! Gordie and pipers favorite part of the day! When they get to come out of their house in the morning! It's also my favorite part of the day because for the first 10 minutes they are beyond comical! Hubby isn't too happy about the mud pit they created in the...
I cut up a old stall mat we used for the horses to lay down inside the coop. Super easy to pull out 4 sections hose them down let them dry and throw it back in.
Saltandpepper2 I can handle the fox but the raccoons make a mess around my house. Thankfully our golden retriever is normally out with them and keeps a good eye on the ducks. I stay much more alert now when he's not out there with them lol
Had my first run in with a fox hanging around the ducks fencing... As the ducks squawked violently. It was still date late and scared me to death! Chased the fox away with a grill brush. Ugh hope this doesn't happen too often
Thank you! I got nervous and put it in, but maybe tomorrow night I'll do that. They make such a mess! The have a lot of fresh water throughout their yard during the day. And plenty to eat. I'm sure they would be fine. Their outside from pretty much 7am-8pm
My pekin ducks are 2 months old they have been staying in their coop at night.. My question is do they need to have food and water at night? Or will they be fine until morning?
It's 63 out already so I went ahead and put them out for the day. They seem to approve as my non-swimmer decided to jump right in the pool! They have tons of water tubs out as it's supposed to reach low 80s today. Hubby will come home and check on them at noon. Wish us luck!
(First time duck mommy) my 1 month old pekins go out from about 3- sundown, because that is when I'm home? They have a blast outside 1 plays in the pool the other stands by the pool siping from it (won't go in) either of them have yet to even pay any attention to their coop. They still come in...
Off topic... However my 2 pekin ducks are 1 month old today. I posted recently on what would be best for feed. Iv been doing the dumor chick started. But at a month old is there something better? I plan on going to the store shortly!
They only go out in this when I'm home.. And it's decent out. It's been rainy and cloudy lately. Still in high 60s, they'll probably go out today. The fencing is eh.. They can get out of it if they feel like they need to (when I'm in there trying to crate them up to bring them in) I'm pretty...
