My young hens have a similar spot on their claw toes which I was able to soak and then peel off with a tweezer for the most part. I did make a cut around the black area to keep from pulling off the healthy tissue as that seemed to be the most painful part for them.

Hi All! I have an 11 week old buff Brahma who I noticed has a black spot on a toe. She seems to sort of be favoring it a bit. She will still walk and move around but I’m a unsure if it’s something I should leave alone or treat. I have a photo of so hopefully it’s helpful!
