I made another waterer using automatic watering cups. I'll post that one later. I put one in a tractor, and just like Blooie said, one pecked at it, got water, and the rest just flocked to it.

You can try tapping the nipple to get the water to drip. They will see the water and peck at it. All you need is one or two birds to figure it out. The others will copy them.
About 20 inches. I made several loops in the twine so I can raise and lower as they grow.

Also an adapter to connect to a hose.
