    Crossing Buff Orpingtons with Barred Rocks?

    What would be the result of taking a buff Orpington/ barred rock female and breeding to a male from the opposite cross. I'm not a fan of the silver coming through but I like the buff and barring together.

    I have a flock of 31 birds. 4 of these are Guineas so I have 27 chickens. I just added a 7-8 month old ameracauna cockerel to the flock. He and my year old splash Orpington have been aggressively breeding 3 to 4 select hens. I'm guessing these are not my older buff orpingtons favorite ladies...

    I have a buff orpingtonx Easter egger cross male that I am thinking about keeping. He is buff colored with black striping in his hackle. He got the beard and peacomb from mom but is yellow legged. Will his offspring lay green eggs?
